David G. McKenna – Managing Partner of TRINITY Development Group, Inc.
David’s main development responsibilities include Student Housing and Multi-Family component of all of its mixed use projects. As such, he is responsible for project coordination, budgeting, leasing, property management and design. David is spending a great deal of his efforts towards the development of The Luxe on West Call, a 392-bed, 15,000 sq.ft. retail project at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
David has 23 years of experience in real estate finance and development and has been responsible for developing nearly $1.5 billion in real estate assets. Since 2001 he has focused on the higher education market sector, managing the financing and development of numerous on-campus facilities and developing off-campus student housing communities. In these capacities, he has served over 40 colleges and universities in 15 states.
David was a former Partner of Phenix Investment Associates, a real estate holding company. Phenix currently owns three student housing communities totaling 2,118 bedrooms and an investment of approximately $90 million.
Prior to joining Phenix, David was Vice President/Development Partner for Place Properties, a leading national student housing company, where he directed all development activities in the eastern United States. Developments included student housing, military housing, and condominium projects. At Place he also supported the company’s student housing acquisition program and was instrumental in securing $280 million of third-party equity investments.
David graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia and earned a masters degree from Harvard University.
